Selected Words is a collaborative public art project developed with five students from Sir Francis Drake High School in San Rafael, California. Together, we explored how text, form, and context intersect to create meaning. Seven quotations on knowledge, thinking, and learning were reproduced across the windows of the San Rafael Public Library, with each panel treated as a unique design element. By manipulating the shapes and composition of the letters, the work encourages viewers to reflect not only on the words themselves but also on the act of reading, creating a layered experience that highlights the poetic and visual possibilities of language in public space.
