Wood, fountain, glass, text, mirror, casters; 60´ W x 100´ L

Here is an immersive exploration of perception, presence, and the fluid nature of reality. Developed in dialogue with the architectural and spatial characteristics of its site, the installation unfolds across four interconnected stations: the atrium maze, the room with the fountain, a shadowed corner of sandblasted glass, and the mezzanine vantage point.

At the heart of the atrium, a maze-like structure of fir 2 x 4’s (45´ L x 14´ W x 9´ H) invites viewers to walk its pathways. Mounted on casters, the piece is subtly mobile, while mirrors embedded in the walls reflect and multiply the participants’ presence, transforming them into both observer and object. Further into the space, a large fountain, visible but out of reach behind a glass door, is inscribed with a Middle Eastern fairy tale, blending narrative, reflection, and longing.

In a shadowed corner, glass panes lean against the wall, each sandblasted with the word Here. Overhead lights cast shifting shadows across the room, making the word legible from some perspectives while elusive from others. From the mezzanine, the atrium structure reveals itself as the mirrored, inverted rendering of Here, a spatial puzzle that transforms language into form.

The sandblasted story on the fountain’s glass door traces the journey of a lost traveler who discovers a hidden fountain, ventures into a bustling city, and eventually glimpses his own reflection, uniting past and present, illusion and reality. Across the installation, viewers encounter a continuous interplay of reflection, text, and movement—a meditation on how perception, memory, and context shape our sense of being here.
