Installed in a former Western Union office, Here was a site-responsive neon work that blinked on and off, rendering the word visible only when illuminated and nearly invisible when dark—as if hovering between here and not here. The rhythmic flicker created a subtle tension between presence and absence, grounding the piece in both its physical and conceptual context. The light cast by the neon extended beyond the word itself, suggesting how language illuminates and shapes the world around us—revealing that meaning, like light, exists only in moments of perception.
