Resonance

Resonance is a body of work created by collaging together pre-painted strips of paper to form layered fields of rhythm and tone. This process, at once meditative and deliberate, echoes my ongoing interest in the visual language of quilting, abstraction, and textile traditions. The repetition of vertical bands and the subtle shifts in hue create a quiet vibration—a sense of resonance—that hovers between the woven and the painted, the tactile and the optical. Through this series, I explore how surface, structure, and color can embody a feeling of presence and continuity, much like threads in a larger fabric of memory and making.
