“Trompe L’oeil Columns”; Newspapers, Wood; 12´H x 15″W x 19″L
Six false architectural columns were created from piles of old newspapers. Perfectly aligned and set between a base and a capital, the series of newspaper columns appeared to be “real” architectural elements. The focus of this piece was to examine/question the role which the mass media (newspaper) plays in forming/ supporting our perception of events/ history/ reality.
