“What Do You Think?”; Paint, Text; 10’H x 35’W
This public art project was created in collaboration with a group of teenagers and young muralists. It consisted of presenting twenty four text murals in various locations throughout San Francisco neighborhoods. These murals were presented in the shape of thought balloons in such a way as to appear to be the thought of the person standing and/or walking below it.
The youth involved in this project selected the texts, as well as designed and painted each mural. It was the intention of this project to promote conceptual investigation into philosophical issues as well as to re-contextualize graffiti art, thereby making it more accessible to the public at large.
