“Last Words”; Video installation; 8’H x 10’W each image
Teenagers from the Oakland Public High Schools were asked to respond to the question “Imagine that you have the opportunity to speak on national television, but are limited to a single word. Consider further that after you say your word you must take a vow of silence. In essence, this word would be your last”. Their responses were documented on video and presented as projected images in a two channel video installation.
